Design contest won by ANTHS student

The Redding Rodeo Association recently held its yearly competition for the 2009 T-shirt logo. Each year, the association talks with local schools and lets the kids help with the design. The winner of this year's competition was Briana Bullington, a senior at Anderson New Technology High School.

Bullington, the daughter of Jennifer and Shawn Bullington of Redding, is taking a graphic arts class at ANTHS that is taught by Mrs. Boydston. The first part of the month-long process for Bullingston and her fellow classmates included research on T-shirt designs and the cost of the use of colors. Next, the students went through an editing process of their designs with their instructor, getting the design just how they wanted them and adding the text to their entry. Bullington sent the designs to Redding Rodeo Association in December."It will be cool to see my design on a T-shirt. I am excited about it, " stated Bullington.

The Redding Rodeo Association will be awarding Bullington two seats in Rodeo Flats, $200 and her choice of T-shirt style. The logo will be put in this year's rodeo pamphlet, along with a picture of Bullington. The Redding Rodeo is traditionally held the third weekend in May and is in its 61st year.
