Mildred L. Ceaglio
Mildred Ceaglio passed into the Lord's arms February 14, 2009 surrounded by family.
Born to Samuel and Ellen Bell Beadnell of Arma, Kansas, November 8, 1920.
The fourth of seven children.
Preceded in death, husband John P. Ceaglio, son Marvin R. Ceaglio, daughter Janet L. Ceaglio Thompson, one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
She leaves behind her immediate granddaughters, Sarajane Souza of Anderson, Hope Spencer of Anderson, Becky McDaniels Jefferson of Shingletown, Janene Curin of Reno, Nevada, Zinabeth McEldowney of Lincoln City, Oregon and Millie Clark and Rodney Rosemary of Oroville, CA. Along with seventeen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Also her Sister in Loves of a lifetime, Trula Beadnell Groce of Oregon, Mildred Beadnell Leffler of Anderson, Thelma Beadnell of Sacramento, Nancy Ceaglio of Westwood and Wanda Ceaglio of Willows, CA.
Mildred and John Ceaglio made Westwood (Lassen Co.) their home with two beautiful children Janet and Marvin. By the middle 50's Anderson became their home. John working at U.S. Plywood and Mildred first working for the TB center at Shasta General in Redding, then working and owning Scotty's restaurant in Anderson. Where lifetime friends were made, one was being Anderson Police Chief Donald Canada, which in turn led Mildred into becoming the first Woman Peace Officer in the Anderson Police Department. At the same time John and Mildred became chartered members of the Anderson Moose Lodge.
Not long after retiring from the Anderson Police Department came the opportunity of working and a second retirement from the dress shop, Happy Fashions in Anderson. She loved unconditionally, she helped with her last penny, she nursed her family through cancer and many surgery's without complaint.
We mourn the loss of this precious gift we were given, as we celebrated her life with her everyday. No more pain only God's perpetual light and our love go with her.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl in Anderson. A viewing will be at Allen & Dahl in Anderson from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2009. Services will also be held Friday, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church corner of Stingy and Rupert Rd., Anderson, CA at 11:00 a.m. with graveside services at Anderson Cemetery immediately thereafter.
