Cottonwood Library celebrates volunteers

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Cottonwood Community Library celebrated its appreciation for all of the volunteers that make the library the success it is, library publicist Elaine Lowell said.

The event started with a breakfast hosted by the library's board of directors.

Festivities started at 8:30a.m. and "the rain that fell that day didn't keep the volunteers at home," Lowell said.

Included in the group were all the volunteers who work in the library. Together, they serve the public four days a week. Also included were the traveling story time volunteers who read each week to 85 children in local day care centers, the adult literacy volunteers who work with English- and Spanish-speaking adults, the library's Web site support volunteer and the library's story time volunteers.
