Mary Kate McAuliffe
Mary Kate McAuliffe is the Student of the Month for January at West Valley High School.
Mrs. Delaine Smith nominated McAuliffe because she is an exemplary student who exhibits tremendous school spirit. She is described as having a positive outlook that is an example for everyone to emulate.
McAuliffe is involved in many school and afterschool activities. She is on the soccer team, is involved in 4-H and drama, and is taking a class at Shasta College. She is also involved with her church and youth group.
After she graduates, McAuliffe said she would love to act. She is currently looking at Chapman University and the University of Southern California, where she would like to get a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Film Acting.
