Happy New Year!
Did you make a New Year's resolution?
I got to thinking about it and decided I did not want to make the same ones again this year. You know the ones I'm talking about. Yes, the ones about losing weight, doing more exercise and praying more.
As far as weight goes, I will always be 146. Now that I have two pounds added because of my bionic arm, I can always subtract that amount from my weight.
I do exercise, and as soon as my arm heals, I will be back at Curves.
And when it comes to prayer, I already spend a lot of time talking to Him.
So, what's left? Here goes: According to the book, "One Day at a Time," written by James Keller, M.M., if you make it your business during this coming year to put into practical application the inspiring prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, you will enrich the lives of countless others as well as your own.
"Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy. "O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are born to eternal life."
They are always saying don't take on too much when you make your resolutions because you will fairl, but I'm telling you, with God all things are possible."
