Valley West Hardware, an Ace Hardware store, is on track to move into the building that previously housed Frontier Hardware and Garden, Inc. at 20639 Gas Point Rd. in Cottonwood, said Ace Valley Supply general manager Dave Masotti.
The building was purchased by Todd Martin from Rod Rice, according to Lee Porter, who rented the facilities for the Frontier Hardware store.
Martin currently owns two Ace Hardware stores in the Redding area.
The new store, to open at the end of April, would be a full-service hardware store featuring a great deal of evaporative cooler and water heater supplies, Masotti said.
Before the store opens, however, the new owner is making several improvements. The remodel would include new lighting, flooring, electrical and computer systems.
"Our stores are based on customer service and knowledgeable help," Masotti said. "We stay in stock with our products."
