Shasta College offers leadership workshop Wednesday, Feb. 4

Shasta College's Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) division will offer a workshop on leadership excellence and motivation on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Leadership Excellence - Motivation is a workshop that will explore methods used in employee motivation and facilitate a discussion among managers and supervisors, emphasizing: Reasons for motivating employees; why good employees leave; supervisor's role in employee motivation; self reflection; what rank motivates you; reverse the Golden Rule; motivational differences of management versus staff employees; a S.E.L.F profile; motivating staff means knowing your staff; 1,001 ways to reward and recognize employees; think outside the box; be non-traditional; developing a motivational action plan

The presenter will be Shawna Manha, director of operations for Teamwork HR and the Northstate SHRM president.

The workshop will be held in Room 8220 at the Shasta College Health Sciences and University Center, 1400 Market St.
