The shouts of "B-U-N-C-O" will once again echo throughout Cottonwood as the Cottonwood Community Library prepares for another wild and riveting evening of Bunco.
The event will be held on Friday, July 24, in the Cottonwood Community Center on Gas Point Road.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the no-host bar, with a salad buffet dinner and Bunco to follow beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person. Admission includes dinner, dessert, Bunco playing fee and one chance for a drawing of $250.00. There will also be chances to win gift baskets and a 50/50 prize drawing.
"Our last Bunco was a total sell-out, and we anticipate this one to be as well," stated Gayle Harrington, Director of Library Services for the Cottonwood Community Library.
"We urge everyone to buy their tickets ahead of time to insure they have a spot."
Tickets are available at the library during normal business hours, or from library board members.
Proceeds from the event will be used for maintaining library services. Since the Cottonwood Community Library is not funded by any tax base or government agency, the library must rely on fundraisers and donations to stay in operation.
"I encourage everyone to come out for a fun evening and a worthwhile cause," stated Harrington.
"Anyone can play, no previous experience is necessary. It is a fun and fast moving game, with good food and fellowship mixed in," she added.
For more information or to purchase tickets, call the library at 347-4818.
