Shasta County's social services will continue despite state issuing IOUs

Shasta County Social Services is reassuring its clients that state-issued IOUs are being sent to the county, not the clients themselves.

Clients will continue to receive human services benefits as they always have. Food Stamps and CalWORKs recipients will still be issued benefits on EBT cards that are used to buy food and pay for basic needs.

Medi-Cal clients will maintain their current coverage while General Assistance clients will continue to receive checks.
