A barn and outbuildings on a ranch owned by Dean and Mary Jessen Hammond were destroyed at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13. The fire at 22356 Jessen Ln. was fought by large group of firefighters led by Shasta County/CalFire. The house did not appear to be damaged. CalFire Battalion Chief Mike Weaver said the fire was still under investigation.
