Interstate 5 reopened after a multiple-vehicle collision effectively shut down northbound traffic in the area of the Knighton Road interchange, according to law enforcement scanner reports at 10:20 a.m. Early reports indicated 8 minor injuries and one person listed in critical condition.
Traffic was backed up a mile in length, according to further reports.
