Due to slow ticket sales, Cottonwood Community Library is canceling its previously-advertised Bunco Night fundraiser that was scheduled for Friday, July 24, announced Gayle Harrington, director of library services.
"We regret to have to make this decision, but in this day and age of the economy, we cannot afford to put on such an effort without the support of strong ticket sales," Harrington said.
"Again, I apologize for this inconvenience, but this was beyond our control," she added. The cancellation notice did not mention whether pre-purchased tickets would be refunded.
Call the library at 347-4818 for information. The library, located at 3427 Main St., is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturdays.
