B&B RV, Inc., has opened in Anderson along I-5

When Dan Gamel’s Redding I-5 RV Center in Anderson closed in May, the dealership’s General Manager, Scott Backstrom, made a commitment to his loyal customers that he wouldn’t leave them out in the cold. And he’s kept that promise.

Backstrom’s new company, B & B RV, Inc., has opened in Gamel’s former location at 3750 Auto Mall Drive in Anderson.

Backstrom said he and his business partner, Wayne Barnes, were able to hire many of Gamel’s former employees to staff the new venture.

“It’s business as usual, but better.” said Backstrom. “The old team is back together doing the same great work. We have an unwavering ‘Raving Fans’ philosophy for great service at a fair price. We’re committed to this location and our loyal customers, and fortunately we’re able to pick up where we left off.”

Backstrom was employed as the General Manager for Dan Gamel’s RV Center for three years. Barnes, a CPA, was also part of Gamel’s executive team and has been a key player in the RV industry for well over a decade.

The company will offer RV service for all makes of motorized and towable RVs and warranty service for most brands. Once the company’s DMV license is finalized, B & B RV will also carry new travel trailers, fifth wheels and other towables, plus pre-owned motor homes of all types. And they have finalized an agreement to be the exclusive Northern California dealer for the popular Teton manufactured home line. Barnes added, “A new line of affordable family-friendly Class C motor homes may also be added to our line-up in the future.

“At a time when so many RV dealerships are closing, we’re happy to bring jobs and revenue back to Anderson and RV service back to the RVers in Northern California,” said Backstrom.
