Patricia M. Hillis, 85, of Cottonwood died May 24 at Spectrum Care Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery.

Richard M. Cropley

Richard M. Cropley, 77, of Anderson died Friday, June 5, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Arrangements handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson (365-5466).

Alvin Thomas Key

Alvin Thomas Key long time resident of Cottonwood passed from this world to be with his wife Elda of 49 years. He was a member of Buckeye Grange for many years also the citizen patrol of Cottonwood. He worked at Shasta General Hospital until he retired in 1985 after 22 years. He was born in the Gas Point area August 13, 1923. He attended school in the area and went on to Anderson High School. He is survived by sister Halda Stuart, son Bob Key, stepson Neil Ross and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him for he had a passion for helping people.

Services will be at Allen & Dahl Palo Cedro June 10, 2009 at 1 p.m.. Graveside to follow at Lawncrest Memorial. Donations can be made to Mercy Hospice Redding.

Lorena Brown, 94, of Anderson died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her residence. Arrangements handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding (241-1626).
