WET TRADITION:
Happy Valley Elementary School teachers on a fire engine turn the hoses on school buses containing graduating eighth graders.

For more than 20 years, teachers from Happy Valley Elementary School have gone to the fire hall across the street from campus on the last day of school and sprayed the school buses as their eighth-grade graduates leave school for the final time.

The teachers turn on the siren and splash bits of water as a way to wish goodwill on the newly-minted high schoolers.

The engine's cab also quickly fills with teachers who do not wish to climb on top.
