Local rodeo riders poised for success

GOTTA COWBOY UP:
Clint Lear of Anderson does the splits while riding his bareback horse at the Cottonwood Rodeo in May. Lear bucked off his horse just before the eight second buzzer. While riding, helped the other cowboys in the event show the rodeo fans what bareback riding is all about.

North State cowboys and cowgirls from Anderson, Cottonwood and Red Bluff brought home the thrill of victory from a rodeo in Duncan Mills held on June 6th and 7th.

Bareback Riding 7 entered:

Bull Riding, 22 entered:

Current standings

In barrel racing for the California Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association, Angie Hardin, Nellie Williams and Kelly Clendenen all of Cottonwood are ranked second, ninth and fourteenth respectively.

In bareback riding, Danny Webb of Cottonwood is in second place, Clint Lear of Anderson is in third place, Cody Higgins and Zack Brown of Red Bluff are in fourth and eighth place respectively.

Placing in fourth in the CCPRA in the saddle bronc is Clint Lear of Anderson.

In the Bull riding, Keith Roquemore, of Cottonwood, is ranked ninth.

In the breakaway roping, Katie Loverin of Cottonwood is ranked seventh.

Broc Cresta, of Cottonwood, is ranked sixth in tie-down roping and tenth in steer wrestling.

In the All Around Cowboy Division, Clint Lear of Anderson is currently placed sixth and Broc Cresta of Cottonwood is placed thirteenth.
