Shasta College Theatre Arts' "James and the Giant Peach"

The Shasta College Theatre Arts Department will present the very popular story of "James and the Giant Peach" as a musical this summer.

Directed by Robert Soffian with choreography by James Santos, this classic children's story will delight young and old alike.

James' magical journey will include digital projections with live music composed by Dr. Elizabeth Waterbury and her advanced composition students.

Fanciful costumes by Christopher Yost and David Fraser's mythical settings make this family-friendly production a must-see event.

Five weekend matinees will allow numerous opportunities for many more youngsters to partake in this summer extravaganza.

General admission is $10, seniors and students pay $8 and children age 12 and younger get in the door for just $5.

Individual performance tickets will be sold at the Shasta College Theatre Box Office one hour before curtain.

Performances on July 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 23 and 24 all start at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be offered at 2 p.m. on July 11, 12, 18, 19 and 25.
