Recently, participants at the Cottonwood Community Library storytime were given the opportunity to learn a lesson about the American Flag and about patriotism.
Led by storytime volunteer Carey Hobbs, each attending adult and child was given his or her own flag to wave and to take home. An explanation of the flag, stories about the flag and a rousing rendition of the song "You're a Grand Old Flag" were also shared. Thank you cards for family members either currently serving in the military or those who have previously served were made by the children.
