Happy Father's Day to all dads.
May the Lord bless you.
My dad died many years ago, but on Father's Day I especially remember him.
I am very blessed for my dad was everything you could ask for in a father. He taught me, along with mom, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
He believed this and practiced it. He was a man of prayer. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night and find him reading from the bible or saying the rosary. He taught me the importance of laughter.
"Always leave them laughing" was his favorite saying. When he got cancer and received chemotherapy, he was told that he would lose all his hair.
However, dad was already bald. He bought a wig, wore it and told the doctor the chemo had reversed itself. The office staff had a good laugh. I have tried to carry on the tradition of "leave them laughing."
Laughter is so good for the soul. Do you think the American people laugh enough?
Do we laugh for the right reason?
It's amazing to me that a lot of half-hour comedy series that people laugh at are nothing but to bring down the beauty of our sexuality. Call me a stick in the mud but the TV is full of nothing but trash.
I think programs bring down the value of men especially fathers. I tell my daughter s that men are the head of the family but women are the heart.

The Happy Valley Farm Trail took second in its division at the county fair. I want to thank all the farmers who gave canned goods and fresh fruits and vegetables. Also to Marilyn Cropper from M-T Nest who put that women's touch to our display.
Well I am out of here I have 13 children and three adults coming to the farm to learn about farming. Have a good week, volunteer, do a good deed and pray for all our elected officials, which includes yours truly; I need them so I make wise decisions.
