Vincent Castro
West Valley Junior Vincent Castro was nominated for student of the month by his teacher Mary Lord.
"He's an average student but he has really blossomed this year," Lord said. "He's become a big reader and is always smiling. He is very mature and can relate to everyone."
Also a piano player, Castro has been writing songs since he was 13, and he added that he was making his own rap CD and music video.
