Cottonwood Lions planning July 4 Fun Day featuring food and games

The Cottonwood Lions are planning a July 4 Fun Day at 3425 Locust St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Independence Day, Alan Piombo announced last week.

"Since times are tough and travel is expensive, we at the Cottonwood Lions would like to help out and offer some alternatives for the day," Piombo said.

Activities will include a dunk tank, a jumping house for younger children and face painting.

Entertaining the young and old alike will be a juggling clown and helium balloons.

Refreshments will include hot dogs and hamburgers, sno cones, cotton candy, soda pop and potato chips. Adults can also buy a chance to win a picnic basket.
