The Anderson Fire Protection District board continued determining the discipline, dismissal or release of fire chief Joe Piccinini at a special board meeting Tuesday, June 30. The board remained in closed session for about 40 minutes before board chairman Keith Webster announced in open session that the board "has given legal counsel direction."
Any potential decisions regarding the chief were to remain confidential in closed-session.
No special meetings were scheduled at that time.
