Debbie Dunn moved to Shasta County in June from Solano County with her husband Byron, to manage the Blue Oak Courts Apartments in Anderson. Before taking the job, she and her husband would come up to visit the area and fell in love with the small town of Anderson and the beauty around it.
She has 16 years experience in the field and enjoys being able to keep residential property neat, clean and have the best tennants possible. All of her training in the property management field has been on-the-job experience.
While doing property management in Solano County, Dunn was able to be a key part of revitalizing a community for 11 years and making it a better place for the residents.
"I enjoy making things around me better. You can change your own corner of the world and keep it nice for others and yourself," said Dunn.
Dunn's day to day jobs at Blue Oak Courts, are processing new clients, turning over apartments, making sure that residents are in compliance with the rules and regulations that have been set up by the company, trying to stay diligent about keeping on top of the activity in the complex to make sure that it stays drug free.
Dunn enjoys working with the people that live in the small community of Blue Oak Courts.
"Each day is different, some people fill you with joy, make you laugh and some make you a bit upset. But also, when I go home at night I think, I love my job and am ready to go back to work tomorrow, "stated Dunn. "I am truly blessed being able to work here."
The property at Blue Oak Courts was built with many different features that make the place attractive to families, and has approximately 300 to 400 residents.
Dunn plans to remain in the area for along time, putting down roots for the future. Dunn is a 1980 graduate of Dixon High School.
