South County children present Disney's 'Aladdin, Jr.' on AUHS stage April 2-4

Come into an enchanted land of camels and caravans by getting your tickets for South Shasta County Children's Chorus production of Disney's "Aladdin, Jr."

This mini-Broadway style musical features music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. The book was adapted and additional lyrics by Jim Luigs. The music was adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle.

It is based on the screenplay by Ron Clements, John Musker, Ted Elliot, and Terry Rossio.

This show features more than 50 children between the ages of 5 to 14.

"Come enjoy the show and envelop yourself into a mystical production with all the traditional Disney songs, dancing and more," said Amy Hughes, assistant director.

Four performances are scheduled including Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m., Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 4, with a matinee at 1 p.m. and the closing show at 7 p.m.

All performances will be at Anderson Union H.S. Performing Arts Building, 1471 Ferry St., Anderson. Tickets are $5 for seniors and children age 10 and younger. All other seats are $7.

Advance purchase tickets will be on sale at Anderson Union H.S. Performing Arts Center, 1471 Ferry Street, Anderson, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. starting March 10.

If available, tickets will also be sold before each performance. However, advanced tickets are recommended as the shows may sell out. For tickets, call 365-2741 ext. 1675.
