Cottonwood Junior High ball teams take home wins

Local junior high school ball fields are busy once again as the 2009 softball and baseball season gets underway.

West Cottonwood Junior High began their season with the West Cottonwood Invitational Tournament, hosting Happy Valley, Parsons, and Shasta Lake schools. WCJH softball and baseball teams won the tournament.

West Cottonwood also hosted Anderson last Monday for a regular season game.

The Anderson boys took the baseball game and the West Cottonwood girls won the softball game. Anderson will host a rematch for both teams in April.
