A driver caught naked while parked on the side of the road apparently had an urge to drive home in the buff.
That’s the story that Anderson police officer Mathew Goodwin got from the unidentified man Wednesday night at Interstate 5 and Balls Ferry Road.
The driver, who was in his mid- to late-40s, shed his clothes while in the car about 10 p.m. The officer, who thought better of asking the man to step out of his vehicle, also noticed the man had several adult movies in a paper bag.
Goodwin advised the man of the consequences of driving nude, such as being arrested for indecent exposure if others had complained.
The man put on tight blue Speedo-type briefs and was free to go. “It covered up the situation,” Goodwin said.
