Local wine, honey, tamales, strawberries and other produce will be on sale when Cottonwood Farmer's Market and Artisan Fair opens April 24, courtesy of Cottonwood Creek Watershed Group. Beginning on April 24, the event is scheduled to carry on every Friday from 3-7 p.m. at ETC Mercantile, 3308 Main St. in Cottonwood.
Straight from the farm produce, including some certified organic offerings, will be on hand along side crafters' wares for sale.
Opening day of the market hosts a variety of activities: Sierra Pacific will give away free seedlings, music will be performed by Pine Dogs and Still Married, the Moose Lodge Clowns will create balloon art for children, and a food court serving hamburgers will be open.
