The West Valley boys tennis team edged out Central Valley on Tuesday, April 28 with a 5-4 win.
Eagles winners include Bryan Shafer, Kyle Marlett, Logan Jorgensen and Chris James.
The West Valley boys fell to a powerful Yreka team the next day.
Eagles athletes who won their matches against the Miners are no. 2 seeded Bryan Schafer, and junior varsity player David Fife.
The Eagles have a 9-6 overall record and a 7-4 record in the league.
They had one more match before their league tournament, which will be held this Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9.
