Shasta Outlets releases event schedule

May is chock full of really good events at the Shasta Outlets in Anderson, touts Linda Austin, general manager and marketing maven for the shopping center located at the confluence of Interstate 5 and Highway 273.

May 5 - 4G Wireless/Verizon will hold its first Customer Appreciation Day and will feature prizesm special discounts, chances to win merchandise, discounts on accessories and product demonstrations including how to get the full benefit out of your cell phone including instructions on how to Text, Tweeter, send Photos and more, Austin said.

May 9 - Boot Barn is bringing back their annual Tack Swap.

"This event always draws a large crowd with free booth space available to buy, sell or trade items," Austin noted.

The Tack Swap starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. An estimated 30 to 40 booths will be set up for participating Tack Swappers. Boot Barn is also having a huge "Buy 2, Get 2 FREE Sale" during the event.

May 9 - Anderson Valley Garden Club members will also hold their semi-annual plant sale in front of Mary's Pizza Shack.

May 10 - Blood Source is having a blood drive in their bloodmobile in front of Payless Shoes.

May 15-17 - Maurices is having a Personal Care Items Drive. For every three items brought in, receive a coupon good for a discount of 20 percent off. Personal care items include soap, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products and toothbrushes.

Items donated will be distributed to persons in need by members of the Echoes of Calvary Park Ministry. Maurices hosted a similar clothing drive last November with great success, Austin said.

May 22-25 - The shopping center's annual mall-wide Memorial Day Sidewalk Sale will be held.

During the sale, business will maintain regular store hours.
