Mary Elizabeth Compin
Mary passed away in her sleep on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at her home in Cottonwood, CA.
Born Mary Wallace in 1938 in Portland Oregon, over the next seventeen years she and her family lived in many places throughout Oregon and Washington.
After high school, Mary moved to the SF Bay Area, was married and had her first son: Scott. She later married Robert Compin and the three moved to Cottonwood, CA in the mid 1960s and added another son: Nick. Mary was primarily a home maker, spending her time taking care of her husband, sons and chauffeuring them all to their many activities. She was very proud that both of her sons and their spouses, and her granddaughter graduated from college and was looking forward to the graduation of her second granddaughter this spring.
Mary is survived by: Mother - Verda Westphal (Anderson), brothers Larry Wallace (Rupert ID), Mike Westphal (Anderson), Sons Scott Westphal (Shasta Lake), Nick Compin (Yuba City), daughters-in-law Leanne and Kelly, five grand children and one great grand child.
A memorial service will be held in Anderson at Allen & Dahl at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8th.
