May 7 was the National Day of Prayer.
In my opinion, every day should be a National Day of Prayer. It is in my house! Every morning I start my day with giving God praise and thanks, then offer Him my thoughts, works and deeds for the day. I say my rosary and pray for all who have asked for prayer. I end with a prayer for our nation.
I read from my daily missal, which has three Bible readings. The first is from the Old Testament, Letters, Acts of the Apostils, or Revelations.
The second reading is from the Psalms. The third and final reading each day is always the Gospel.
No matter what is going on in the world, God's Word always lifts my spirits. He is the one I always turn to. He gives me the peace and joy that the world can never give.
On most Wednesdays, a small group of ladies comes to my home to say the rosary and to read the Bible. If you think you may want to join us, just give me a call. If you want prayer, my number is 357-2416. God is good.
