About 1,500 rodeo fans showed up each day to watch the legendary rodeo last weekend at the 47th annual Cottonwood Mother's Day Rodeo.

Highlights of the weekend include the tribute to Donny Martin who went to fight bulls in God's Rodeo Arena last July. Alex Meroshnekoff of Red Bluff won the bareback riding title for the second year in a row in Cottonwood. His son Casey competed in the same event. Jandee Scott received the Bob Jones Memorial Buckle for timed events and Mike George received the Brad Dolker Memorial Buckle. The wild cow milking was won by Four Star Rodeo Company on Saturday was won on Sunday by the boys from McAuliffe Livestock.
