JOHN SCOTT PARKS
A suspect who fled from a deputy on a yellow dirtbike on Wednesday was arrested Thursday, May 15, as sheriff's deputies and a CHP helicopter surveyed the Amber Ridge area of Happy Valley for two days, according to Shasta County Sergeant Jim Beaupre.
John Scott Parks, 39, of the Happy Valley area was wanted by the sheriff's office as a suspect in connection with a vehicle theft. Parks was also arrested for failures to appear in relation to a felony and two misdemeanor charges.
Parks was held at Shasta County Jail as of Friday morning in lieu of a $53,000 bail.
