Anderson Union High School freshman Cheridan Hawkins shot a 20 pound turkey in the second weekend of hunting season.
The total score for her turkey from the National Wild Turkey Federation was 65.5 inches.
"This is Cheridan's first turkey, and for that matter, the first thing she has ever shot - and it's a half point bigger than any turkey I have ever taken," said father Charlie Hawkins.
Longo's taxidermy is mounting the turkey for Cheridan Hawkins.
"She is very proud and I am very proud of her," Hawkins' dad said.
"I have three daughters and they all hunt and play softball. I don't believe there are any limits to what girls can do," he said.
