Eagles playoff run ends

West Valley's baseball and softball teams entered the playoffs in good position last week, but were both defeated in their first game.

Baseball

The Eagles baseball team entered the championship bracket in the No. 5 seed in the division 2 playoffs. They traveled to No. 4 Wheatland (13-7) on Tuesday, and were defeated 2-3.

The Eagles had two hits, which included a double by senior Justin Clark, and an RBI double by senior Alphonse Doiron.

West Valley ends their season with 14-14 overall record and a 6-4 league record.

Softball

The Eagles softball team entered the division 3 softball championship playoff brackets in the No. 4 seed. The team traveled to the No. 1 seeded Paradise (20-8) on Tuesday, and were defeated 1-5.

The West Valley softball team ends their season with a 23-13 record overall and a 9-1 league record.
