Frozen yoghurt shop opens in Anderson

Next door to Burrito Bandito, at 2805 South St. Suite 2, a self-serve frozen yoghurt bar "Top ings" opened on Friday, May 15. Operated by first-time business owner Lindsey Kossol of Palo Cedro, Top' ings offers 12 flavors of frozen yoghurt with 60 topping choices, including berries, fruit and chocolate.

The business is scheduled to be open daily from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Kossol said. A ribbon cutting with the Anderson Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for May 29, at 10:30 a.m.

Kool Cutz

Kool Cutz, a family hair salon at 2672 Gateway Dr. at the Gateway Center in Anderson, opened on Friday, May 1. The owners, Sherry Biddle and Lori Tracy, both worked at Hot Cuts in the Anderson Square, which closed due to declining business, Tracy said.

Kool Cutz offers haircuts for $13 and open hours are Tuesday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mercado Latino

Leaving the Gateway Center strip mall in late April was Mercado Latino soccer and leather store. Owner Carlos Mendoza reopened the business at 2191 North Street.
