55th Annual Pioneer Luncheon - June 12, 9:30 a.m. registration. Lunch at noon. Shasta District Fairgrounds, 1890 Briggs Rd. Soroptimist international of Redding to hold lunch for any residents of Shasta County, 65 or older, who have lived in the county for at least 50 years. Entertainment and prizes. Anderson High School Centennial Golf Tournament - June 13, 1 p.m. at Gold Hills Golf Course, 1950 E. Gold Hills Dr. in Redding. Youth Activities

West Valley physicals - May 30, 11th-12th grades, 8-10 a.m; 9th-10th grades, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Held at West Valley High School cafeteria. Includes a $15 physical and $15 ASB sticker. The physical will cover all sports including cross country, golf, tennis, basketball, track and field, baseball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, softball, wrestling, football and swimming. Anderson Library Story Time - Every Thursday, 3:30-4:30 p.m., at 3200 W. Center St., in Anderson. On May 28, story time features "It's Graduation Day," read by WV High School counselor.
