The Redding Bank of Commerce added a director to their board, Joseph Gibson, who also serves on the Anderson Union High School District Board and was recently re-elected to that position.
"I had to interview a couple of times and talk to the directors and then be elected into the position by every member of their board," said Gibson. "The whole process took about two months. It seemed like a challenge and a learning experience."
On Nov. 5, Patrick J. Moty, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Commerce Holdings announced Gibson as an addition to Redding Bank of Commerce as a director.
"It's going to be a good experience working with the bank. They send you to different trainings and I feel it will only benefit the district, with my being a director at the bank," said Gibson.
Gibson has over 36 years of business management experience. Gibson was a teacher and administrator for Anderson Union High School from 1973-2003. He has also owned SFI Insurance, Inc., since 1992.
Gibson also serves on the Shasta College Foundation Board and was president of Anderson Rotary Club from 2002-2003.
