Haven Humane Society, Pets without Partners and Another Chance Animal League were recipients of the fundraiser event.
The tournament chairman Pam Storey and her co-chairman, Cherie Flowers, visited Haven Humane Society recently and presented a check to Ray John, Haven's chief executive officer.
"We are so grateful for organizations and individuals like this group who put forth the effort to help our shelter animals," John said.
Storey said 108 women participated in "Golf on the Wild Side." The women played 18 holes each fo two days during the event held at Tierra Oaks Golf Course.
The money was generated through numerous drawings during the event as well as tee sponsorships, Storey said, adding that each year the group raises money for various charities.
"This year we decided to help animals, so we selected the three groups," she said.
