Eagles win NAL for volleyball

West Valley split the NAL title with Central Valley in volleyball, with both teams finishing 9-1 in the league.

West Valley swept all three matches with Corning 25-10, 25-20, 25-18 finishing the season 31-8.

Megan Bowen had 10 kills and 17 digs, Amy Westaby had 20 digs, and Ashley Vitellaro had four kills and four blocks.

Anderson unsuccessful against Yreka 3-0

Anderson fell to Yreka in straight sets 25-12, 25-21, 25-18 even though Cub Raschel Noble had five blocks. The Cubs finished the season 6-18 overall and 1-9 in the NAL

West Valley cross country wins NAL title

West Valley girls' tied with Yreka on Thursday, both receiving 38 points, however the Eagles had earned enough points over the season to beat out the Miners for the NAL title.

The Eagle girls' have won six varsity league titles, including the last four in a row. They have also won six section titles as well.

The Eagles boys' have won six league championships over the years as well as 10 section championships.

Forest McBride was a top finisher for the West Valley boys', placing fourth with a time of 16:50. For the varsity girls', Hannah Dorman placed second (18:52) and Corissa Storms finished third (20:01).
