After Ronald Richard Holub, 53, of Anderson, allegedly made threats to kill an employee of the Anderson Cottonwood Irrigation District at 2810 Silver St., he drove away, leading Anderson Police on a slow pursuit north on Silver Street before finally yielding to officers, APD Sergeant Sean Miller said when Holub was arrested at 10:10 a.m.

APD Captain Robert Kirvin also suspected Holub for spray painting obscenities on an ACID building that employees reported to APD on Wednesday morning.

The threat to kill was allegedly made at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning when Holub wanted a "water tool" from the irrigation district employees, Sergeant Miller said.

ACID employees became concerned and contacted police when Holub returned to the district at about 9:45 a.m. and started yelling from outside the office.

District manager Stan Wangberg was unavailable for comment.
