A record number of varsity boys' (199) ran in the Northern Section C.I.F Cross Country Championships on Thursday hosted by West Valley High School.

The top finisher for the West Valley varsity boys' team was Forrest McBride (senior) with a time of 16:58.75.The Eagles boys' team went on to place seventh in the team rankings out of 21 schools that fielded teams.

For the Anderson varsity boys' team their best

finisher was junior Damon Main (117), and they did not field enough runners to have a team score.

For the West Valley varsity girls' team, freshman runner Hannah Dorman placed third and her teammate junior Corissa Storms placed sixth. The West Valley girls' cross country team ranked ninth out of 16 schools that fielded team in the event.

For New Tech, their top finisher for the girls' cross county three-mile run was sophomore Tori Dick (104) followed closely by teammate Catlin Kuehl (105).

For junior varsity the Eagles top finisher was sophomore Brandon Dillard (17) with a time of 14:08.00 on the two-mile course. For Anderson New Tech, their top junior varsity runner for the boys' was Taylor Andrews (59).
