Superior California Economic Development (SCED) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage economic growth by helping small businesses create and retain long-term employment opportunities within the Shasta, Trinity, Modoc, and Siskiyou counties.
Their Microenterprise Development Program (MDP) is sponsoring a workshop to explore self-employment on Tuesday November 24, 2009 from 5:30 pm-8:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Center at 20595 Gas Point Rd., Cottonwood.
This workshop will help participants explore the concept of small business ownership and cover such topics as - being an entrepreneur, goal setting, the need for a marketing and business planning, criteria for obtaining a business loan and more.
