Due to late developments in a story that were neither reflected in the reporting nor the subsequent writing of a Nov. 4, 2009, article regarding the closure of Your Cottonwood Collective, factual errors were made.
While it was the originally stated intent of the medical marijuana collective's owners to defie a Shasta County building code closure for failure to obtain and display a use permit, on later advice from Keith Cope, the collective's attorney, owner Matt Mosher did ultimately comply with the closure order and continues to do so.
"We are closed and have been since the citation was issued on the 27th of October," Mosher said.
The Valley Post sincerely regrets the error.
