The Shasta College Agriculture and Natural Resources Club announces their "Christmas in the Country" weekend.
It is scheduled to run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Shasta College Farm.
Among the activities planned will be Christmas trees and poinsettias for sale, a Country Christmas Boutique, a farm animal petting zoo, hay rides with draft horses, music and hot drinks.
Santa is scheduled to join the festivities and will be available for pictures, so make sure and bring cameras.
In the boutique, many Shasta College clubs will have arts and crafts for sale, which will make great holiday decorations and gifts.
Visitors to the Farm just have to follow the "tree" signs from the south entrance. In addition to the Country Christmas weekend, there will be fresh Christmas trees available for purchase from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the weekends of Nov. 28-29, Dec. 5-6, Dec. 12-13, and Dec. 19-20.
If you want more information on the "Christmas in the Country" weekend and on Christmas tree sales, contact Trena Kimler-Richards (530) 242-2209 or email her at trichards@shastacollege.edu.
