CAUGHT: APD Sergeant Robert Curato, middle, holds Kelly Evans, sitting, stationary after Kelly streaked naked across I-5.

Reports of a 6-foot hairy, naked man crossing Interstate 5 were dispatched by CHP at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24. Anderson police officers and a CHP helicopter searched for the man, who fled east along the Anderson Creek bridge immediately south of Balls Ferry Road, according to APD Sergeant Robert Curato.

In less than an hour, police caught up with a still nude and "very intoxicated" Kelly Evans, 48, of Anderson hiding near a transmission tower, Curato said.

Medically cleared on scene and arrested for public intoxication, Evans was taken to Shasta County Jail.
