Student art featured in Redding City Hall

Visitors to Redding's City Hall will be able to view the Fall Art Exhibit showcasing a variety of artists many from Anderson Union High School.

"We hold an annual Open Call to Artists where local artists and schools submit a portfolio for consideration," said Mari Szynal, event coordinator for the City of Redding's Community Services.

"Our students were invited to display their art work in any media they wanted," said Loretta Bryant, an art teacher at AUHS. "The paintings are mainly abstract and done in pastels, watercolors, charcoal, acrylics and oil."

Anderson students participating in the art exhibit are Rickles Adkins, James Armstrong, Hannah Dabovich, Kristy Evans, Shyanne Fields, Jacob Henning, Sean Irwin, Kristina Kyle, Jake Duzyk, Cody Flores, Kyle Francis, Dylan LaFranchi, Caitlin MacDowell, Vja Moody, Christopher Quinonez, Bradley Reinhart, and Patrick Timmons.

The exhibit is open through Jan. 15, 2010, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and is located on all three floors of city offices. Redding City Hall is located at 777 Cypress Ave. For more information, Mari Szynal at 225-4104.
