Shasta County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Tuesday evening after spotting him riding a reportedly stolen motorcycle and chasing him 15 miles with help from a California Highway Patrol helicopter.
Ronald Harole Brown II, 34, was seen riding the motorcycle at Highway 273 and Factory Outlets Drive in Anderson just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Shasta County Sheriff's Department press release.
Brown refused to stop when a deputy signaled him with lights and siren, according to the press statement. He led deputies on a chase that ended without incident on Bowman Road just east of Highway 36.
Brown was arrested on suspicion of evading a police officer, violating probation and possessing stolen property, drug paraphernalia and marijuana, according to the press statement. He is held on $45,000 bail.
