A Chico man suffered no noticeable injuries Friday after he wrecked his black Hyundai on Interstate 5 at about 9:30 a.m. south of Deschutes Road in Anderson.

Timothy Bower, 20, was driving southbound when his vehicle went over an embankment and landed in the median near the northbound lanes. Bower reported falling asleep while driving, CHP officer D. Martinez said, adding that alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the accident.
