ALL ABOUT THE GOLD: The U-16 boys team members (not in order) are Zeke Andrade, Zech Deckert, Zach Engles, Tj Frisbie, Zach Golden, Jesus Gomez, Pepito Guiterrez, Elliot Kraft, Ryan Minturn, Mateen Morton, Patrick Mueller, Alex Rizos, Connor Ross, Harold Stacey, and Colton Schwinning. Ray Hayes and Jose Gutierrez coach the team.
The Stockton Triad Division III soccer tournament was held Sept. 26 and 27 in Stockton and the AC United U-14 girl's team took first place in the event.
They played strong throughout the weekend, winning their first game against the GSC MetroAStars, and coming out on top against the Land Park Velocity from Sacramento in the championship game.
Boys take tourney
The AC United Rampage won the Shasta Fall Classic held at the Redding Soccer Park on Sept. 26 and 27.
The U-16 boys team is a mix of players from area high including Red Bluff, Anderson, West Valley, Shasta, Enterprise, Foothill, and U-Prep.
The Rampage won their bracket by beating Oakdale 3-0, tying Corning 1-1, and then winning against Eureka 6-0.
In the championship game, the Anderson U-16 boys beat the 49er Fury 3-0 to win the Shasta Fall Classic.
